CONSULATE GENERAL ROLLS OUT 2026 VIP TOUR IN INDIANAPOLIS

CHICAGO 16 December 2025- Following its successful launch in Chicago on 20 November 2025, the Consulate General rolled out the 2026 Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour in Indiana on 13 December 2025. The rollout took place during the inaugural Fil-Am Expo organized by the Filipino American Heritage and Cultural Arts of Indiana (FAHACA.IN) at Jameson Camp in Indianapolis. Attended by over 100 visitors, the VIP Tour segment became a highlight of the event, which brought together Filipino-American entrepreneurs in Indiana and showcased Philippine fashion and art.
Introducing the tourism program, Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano, in her remarks, highlighted the impact of the annual tour in appreciating PHL cultural heritage, supporting national development, and connecting overseas Filipinos in the US and their families to their roots. With Cebu as a destination for the 2026 edition, she also mentioned the role participants can play in assisting its recovery, in view of the recent challenges faced by the province and its surrounding areas.
Showing video clips, the Consul General, a participant in the 2025 VIP Tour, shared her memorable experiences focusing on her firsthand encounters with the country’s natural beauty and cultural heritage. Likewise, Ms. Marife Callender of FAHACA.IN, also a past participant, shared insights on the destinations featured in the tour and mentioned the unique experiences each location offered to visitors.

Organized by the Philippine Foreign Service Posts in the US, in cooperation with the Department of Tourism, the 2026 VIP Tour, taking place on 12-21 July 2026, will bring participants to Manila, Dumaguete, and Cebu, with optional day trips to Siquijor and Bohol.
