CHICAGO 28 April 2025- The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago conducted a field enrollment and online voting assistance for the 2025 PHL National Elections during the Spring Ball of the Philippine American Cultural Center of Michigan (PACCM) on 26 April 2025 held at Larsa Palace in Warren, Michigan. The event was attended by more than 250 leaders and members of Filipino and Filipino-American community organizations.
CHICAGO 28 April 2025– The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago hosted a hybrid seminar on Philippine cooperatives on 25 April 2025 at the Consulate’s Kalayaan Hall (also livestreamed via Zoom). With the title “Cooperative Awareness and Financial Literacy,” the event was attended by some 25 Filipino Community members, many of whom are Filipino teachers under the US Exchange Visitor Program (EVP) or the J-1 Program.
15 April 2025, Chicago, Illinois - The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, in collaboration with the Commission on Elections-Office for Overseas Voting, hosted its first hybrid town hall and mass enrollment for Filipino overseas voters on 15 April 2025 at the Consulate General’s Kalayaan Hall.
In celebration of the National Literature Month and US Poetry Month, the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, in collaboration with the Chicago Public Library, held a book launching and reading of “Caulbearer,” the latest book by Filipino-American author Ms. Luisa A. Igloria, on 12 April 2025 at the Harold Washington Library Center. This is the third book reading event that the Consulate has organized in recent months.
