13 September 2025, Des Moines, Iowa - The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago conducted a consular outreach mission on 13 September 2025 (Saturday) at the New Hope United Methodist Church in Des Moines, Iowa.
Led by Consul General Atty. Melanie Rita B. Diano, the team rendered a total of 63 services, mainly for passport, notarial, civil registry and dual citizenship, to consular clients residing in Iowa and other nearby states during the one-day event.

The event was conducted in partnership with the Filipino American Association of Iowa (FAAI) headed by its President, Ms. Alma Coon.
Consular missions are regularly held to bring the Consulate General’s services closer to the Filipino and Filipino-American communities in the U.S. Midwest states under the Consulate’s jurisdiction, outside of Chicago.
