15 August 2025, Omaha, Nebraska - The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago conducted a consular outreach mission on 15 August 2025 (Friday) at the Elks Lodge 6410 S 96th, Omaha Nebraska 68127.
Led by Consul General Atty. Melanie Rita B. Diano, the Chicago PCG team provided consular services, such as passport, notarial, civil registration and dual citizenship to clients from Nebraska and other nearby states during the one-day event.
The consular outreach was conducted in partnership with the leaders and volunteers of the Filipino American Organization of Metropolitan Omaha, headed by its president, Ms. Resy Learned, and Mr. and Mrs. Francis and Rosalind Quevedo, and Ms. Marites Jacinto. Filipino-American volunteers from other organizations in Nebraska were also in attendance during the consular outreach.
Consular missions are regularly held to bring Chicago PCG’s services closer to the Filipino-American communities in the U.S. Midwest states under its jurisdiction. For updates on consular outreach activities, visit Chicago PCG’s official website (www.chicagopcg.com) and Facebook page (@PHinCHICAGO).
A Filipino community meet and greet event was also organized by the FilAm Organization of Metro Omaha at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Omaha at MH Landing on 16 August to introduce the work of FilCom organizations in Nebraska and allow the Consul General to share Chicago PCG’s activities for the remaining months until end of 2025, which included scheduled consular outreach missions in other midwest states. Representatives of four organizations–the FilAm Organization of Metro Omaha, Santo Niño Omaha, Cofradia Del Santo Niño de Cebu, and the Filipino Heritage Foundation–attended the meet and greet event.
