23 August 2022 (Chicago) – Filipinos and Filipino-Americans in Nebraska (some 470 miles from the Consulate General) availed of consular services during the one-day outreach mission held at Elks Lodge, 6410 S 96th St, Omaha, Nebraska 68127 on 20 August 2022. The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago conducted the event in partnership with the officers and members of the Filipino-American Organization of Metropolitan Omaha.

Led by Consul General J. Susana V. Paez, the outreach team provided a total of 219 passport, dual-citizenship and other services to consular clients residing in Nebraska and nearby States. Those who availed of the consular services expressed their appreciation to the team since this meant that they no longer had to drive for nine (09) hours to the Consulate General in Chicago.

The Filipino-American Organization of Metropolitan Omaha, headed by Ms. Gemma Toth, assisted the outreach team by providing promotional and logistical support. Outreach missions are regularly held to bring the Consulate’s consular services closer to Filipino and Filipino-American communities in US Midwestern states, outside of Illinois, under the Consulate’s jurisdiction. This outreach activity was the Consulate’s sixth for the year, following those held in Kansas, Missouri, Ohio, Michigan and South Dakota.

For updates on consular outreach activities, Filipino and Filipino-American communities in the Midwest may visit the Consulate’s official website (www.chicagopcg.com) and its Facebook page (@PHinCHICAGO). END
