FILIPINO COMMUNITY EXPRESSES APPRECIATION FOR CONSULAR OUTREACH IN WEST CHESTER TOWNSHIP, OHIO

23 May 2022 (Chicago) – The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, in collaboration with the Filipino American Association of Southern Ohio (FASO) and the Philippine-American Society of Greater Dayton (PASGD), held a consular outreach mission for passport and dual citizenship services at the Miami University Voice of America Learning Center in West Chester Township, Ohio on 21 May 2022.

The outreach team, headed by Consul General J. Susana V. Paez, provided a total of 227 consular services to Filipinos and Filipino-Americans residing in Ohio and other states. Consul General Paez took the opportunity to meet with leaders of the Filipino community to discuss areas of mutual concern and economic and trade potentialities in the area.

The event was the third outreach mission of the Consulate for the year, following outreaches in Wichita, Kansas and Saint Louis, Missouri. The other team members were Consul Ryan Francis Gener, Ms. Janice Kathlene Lobien, Mr. Lawrence Cuevas, Mr. Emmanuel Jacob Milante, Mr. Fritz John de Jesus, Mr. Joseph Alcantara, and Mr. Jerwin Mamalateo.

FASO and PASGD officers and volunteers, led by Atty. Billy Guinigundo and Mr. Marvin Mamitag, respectively, supported the outreach team by providing promotional, logistical and pre-processing assistance. According to Atty. Guinigundo, FASO and PASGD received positive feedback from Filipinos who availed of the Consulate’s much needed and appreciated services to the local community. END
