The Philippine Consulate General participated in the International Living Rosary as part of the
celebration of the Holy Names Cathedral’s 175th Anniversary Year held at the Holy Name
Cathedral on 21 September 2025, an event spearheaded by the Catholic Filipino Network
(CFN).
The occasion brought together representatives from Filipino communities in Chicago and
highlighted the universal spirit of faith and unity.
Consul General Diano was among the participants selected to hold the cross during the rosary.
Additionally, Consul Ella Karina Mitra and Protocol Officer Martyn Asker Orcine represented the
Philippine Consulate General together with other selected members of the Filipino Community
as the bead carriers.
The living rosary was also participated in by community leaders and members from various
countries, such as South Korea and Poland, as well as the Latin American and African
communities. The solemn ceremony culminated with a reception held at the cathedral’s
courtyard.
