CONSULATE GENERAL TAKES PART IN THE OPENING OF Crumbs.nd.Creams
The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, represented by Consul Melvin Almonguera and Protocol Officer Martyn Asker Orcine, graced the Grand Opening of Crumbs.nd.Creams (Chicago’s Home of Sylvanas) on 13 September 2025 at 4825 N Pulaski Road, Chicago.
Consul Almonguera, together with Alderman Samantha Nugent of the City’s 39th Ward, joined the Filipino-American owners of the establishment, Mharloe and Katrina Requiron, in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Originally established as a supplier of Sylvana cookies – a beloved Filipino delicacy – and other confections to various retailers, Crumbs.nd.Creams has marked a significant milestone with the opening of its first brick-and-mortar establishment. The Consulate General celebrated the Filipino-American business’ successful expansion, which now offers patrons a dedicated space to enjoy its signature sweets firsthand. END
