The Philippine Consulate General, represented by Cultural Officer Mary Joy Duran-Mortel and Protocol Officer Martyn Asker Orcine, attended the Philippine Nurses Association in Illinois (PNAI) Nurses Week Celebration and Nurse Excellence Award Ceremony held at the Spring Creek Reservoir, Bloomingdale, IL on 04 May 2025.

Ms. Duran-Mortel, who represented Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano at the event, delivered a brief message commending PNAI for its unwavering commitment in advancing the nursing profession and supporting the well-being of our community.

The event also served as a venue for PNAI members to celebrate their collective and individual accomplishments. PNAI President Dean Baron and PNAI Executive Director Gloria Simon awarded the Nurse Excellence Award to seven members of PNAI who have made a difference in their respective communities and who have demonstrated dedication, excellence, and compassion in their profession.END
