CONSUL GENERAL PROMOTES 2027 VIP TOUR IN INDIANAPOLIS

CHICAGO 28 September 2026- Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano promoted the 2027 Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour during a meeting with representatives of Filipino-American community organizations in Indianapolis on 25 September 2026. The meeting was organized by Ms. Marife Callender, founder of the Filipino American Heritage and Cultural Arts of Indiana (FAHACA.IN).

Around 20 community representatives attended the meeting, where Consul General Diano presented the 2027 VIP Tour: Winter Escapade Edition, scheduled for 07–17 February 2027. The tour will feature visits to Manila and either Iloilo, Bacolod, or El Nido, with pocket tours to Legazpi-Naga, Leyte, Siargao, Camiguin, and Bohol. She encouraged the Filipino-American community in Indiana to join and help promote the tour as an opportunity to reconnect with the Philippines, its culture and heritage, and its tourism destinations through an organized program.

The Consul General, joined by Consul Melvin Almonguera, also discussed updates on the Consulate General’s consular services and other community-related matters with the participants.
