CONSULATE GENERAL RENDERS 162 CONSULAR SERVICES IN INDIANAPOLIS

CHICAGO 28 September 2026- The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago conducted a consular outreach mission on 26 September 2026 at the Korean American Association of Indiana, 8510 Center Run Dr, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250, some 190 miles from the Consulate.
Led by Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano, the consular outreach team processed a total of 162 applications for passport, dual citizenship, and other consular services, serving Filipino nationals in Indianapolis and surrounding areas. Several applicants expressed appreciation for the outreach, noting that it spared them the long drive to Chicago.
The outreach mission also included an Overseas Voting (OV) field registration activity, providing Filipino nationals an opportunity to register as overseas voters. The team likewise promoted the Consulate General’s 2027 Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour: Winter Escapade Edition, scheduled for 07–17 February 2027, to clients during the event.

The activity was organized in partnership with the Barangay Club of Indiana, headed by Mr. Dominic Canlas, and the Filipino American Heritage and Cultural Arts of Indiana (FAHACA.IN), headed by Ms. Marife Callender. The partner organizations provided assistance in promoting the outreach and facilitating arrangements for the activity.
