The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, represented by Protocol Officer Martyn Asker Orcine, participated in the annual “Carbo-Loading” Celebration hosted by Pinoy Runners USA–Chicago on 09 October 2026 at the Rizal Center in Chicago. The event brought together Filipino runners participating in the 2026 Chicago Marathon.

More than 100 Filipino runners, including participants who traveled from the Philippines, Europe, and the Middle East, joined this year’s Chicago Marathon. First held in its current form in 1977, the Chicago Marathon is recognized as one of the six World Marathon Majors, alongside the marathons in Tokyo, Berlin, London, New York City, and Boston.END
