The kick-off event debuted an exhibition of Philippine artwork, photographs and textiles which will run until January 2026. The SamaSama Project and DJ Eric Cervantes captivated the audience with their performances during the program.
The Halo Halo Project, spearheaded by Art Director Oliver Aguilar, aims to celebrate the Filipino-American experience, its traditions, its evolution in the diaspora, and its contributions to the cultural fabric of Chicago.
On 11 October 2025, the Halo-Halo project will continue to celebrate Filipino American History Month at Sulzer Regional Library.
