PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL SHOWS SUPPORT TO THE PHILIPPINE BASEBALL GROUP MIDWEST

Philippine Consulate General in Chicago represented by Consul Ella Karina Mitra, Ms. MaryJoy Duran-Mortel, and Mr. Richard Osea attended the launch of the Philippine Baseball Group Midwest on 01 September 2025, held at Bisco Hall in Wheeling, Illinois.

The event was hosted by organizers Mr. Darell and Ms. Robilyn Tobias, who introduced the region’s first Filipino baseball group. One of the highlights of the program was the screening of the documentary "Hard 90 to Home," celebrating Filipino talent and community spirit in baseball.

The PBG Midwest remains committed to its mission of inspiring Filipino youth to participate in baseball and fostering a strong sense of community through the sport.
