CONSUL GENERAL ATTENDS THE CHICAGO HEALTHCARE ALLIANCE LIONS CLUB ANNUAL PICNIC
Consul General Atty. Melanie Rita B. Diano participated in the Chicago Healthcare Alliance Lions Club's (CHALC) 2nd Annual Picnic on 30 August 2025, held at Busse Woods Picnic Grove in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
CHALC, under the leadership of President Ms. Lea S. Agaton, is dedicated to advancing healthcare access and advocacy for underserved communities in Chicago. The organization continues to champion healthcare equity and support for the city's most vulnerable populations, especially Filipino Americans.
During her keynote remarks, Consul General Diano commended healthcare workers for their steadfast commitment and resilience in serving others, particularly in the face of ongoing challenges and risks. The program also featured distinguished speakers including Past District Governor Lion Austin D'Souza and Dr. Zeh Wellington from the American Nurses Association of Illinois.
The celebration concluded with a community feast, bringing together members and guests to strengthen bonds within Chicago's healthcare advocacy network. END
