Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano received Ms. Jaylou Hernandez, Marketing Director of Ayala Land North America, based in Los Angeles, California, for a courtesy call at the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago on 20 August 2026.

Ms. Hernandez shared that her visit to Chicago was part of Ayala Land North America’s efforts to immerse itself in the local market, gain a better understanding of the Filipino American community, and explore opportunities to strengthen the company’s engagement in the U.S. Midwest. She also discussed the company’s initiatives to promote its sustainable real estate projects and investment opportunities.

Consul General Diano welcomed Ayala Land North America’s interest in the Midwest and underscored the Consulate General’s support for Philippine businesses. She also noted potential areas for collaboration in community activities, including the Filipino Community’s upcoming Paskuhan celebration and the 2027 Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour to the Philippines, which the Consulate General is set to spearhead in February 2027.
