CHICAGO PCG JOINS FILIPINO SUMMER FEST 2026 IN LONG GROVE, ILLINOIS
LONG GROVE, ILLINOIS, 15 August 2026 – The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago joined members of the Filipino-American community at the Filipino Summer Fest 2026, held on 15–16 August 2026 at Brothers’ Field in Long Grove, Illinois.
Consul Ella Karina Mitra-Yeager, representing Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano, attended the two-day community festival, which brought together members of the Filipino-American community and friends of the Philippines for a weekend celebration of Filipino food, music, and culture.
The well-attended festival featured live musical performances and numerous booths offering a wide variety of Filipino dishes, delicacies, and refreshments, as well as non-food products and merchandise from local vendors and small businesses.
During the event, Consul Mitra-Yeager conveyed the Consulate’s congratulations to Mr. Erwin Dela Cruz of PNOISE Production, the main organizer of the Filipino Summer Fest, for the successful staging of the festival.
