30 June 2026, Illinois - The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, represented by Consul Ma. Theresa M. Alders and Consular Assistant Dennis Marnilego, joined the Chicago Nightingales in its Induction Ceremony on 27 June 2026 at the Allegra Banquet Hall in Schiller, Illinois.

Consul Alders thanked the Chicago Nightingales for its work in promoting volunteerism and community service, and in the process raising the profile of Filipinos and Filipino-Americans in Illinois. She also provided updates on the activities of the Consulate, especially in relation to the 80th anniversary of Philippines-United States diplomatic relations, the continuing resumption of overseas voting registration to last until 30 September 2027, and the 2027 Very Important Pinoy Tour scheduled on 7-17 February 2027.

Consul Alders assists in the conferment of the awards to deserving members and officers of the Chicago Nightingales.
