The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, represented by Cultural Officer Mary Joy Duran-Mortel, participated in the annual Skokie Festival of Cultures held on May 16, 2026, at Oakton Park. The event showcased the rich cultural diversity of 34 participating nations, with the Filipino community supported by the Philippine Consulate General.
Over the two-day event, visitors experienced a celebration of ethnic folk music and dance, arts and crafts, international children’s games, diverse food and drinks, cultural booths, and the festival’s iconic flag display. END
