SOUTH BEND, INDIANA – The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, represented by Consul Ma. Theresa M. Alders and Mr. Richard Osea, joined the Filipino American Association of Michiana (FAAM) in celebrating their 33rd Christmas party on 06 December 2025 at the Gillespie Conference Center in South Bend, Indiana.

Consul Alders in her remarks commended FAAM for its work providing Filipinos and Filipino-Americans in Michigan and Indiana with a cultural community, where the best of Filipino values, traditions and culture are nurtured and promoted especially for the younger generation. Consul Alders also provided the community with an update on the Consulate’s priorities and activities for 2026. She took the opportunity to invite all eligible Filipinos to register to vote for the 2028 Philippine National Elections, as well as to join the 2026 Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour.

During the event, Consul Alders administered the oath of office of the new set of FAAM Officers.

FAAM is a non-profit organization duly registered in the State of Indiana since 1992. END
