The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago is pleased to share that Philippine Airlines (PAL) will launch its non-stop service between Manila and Chicago, further strengthening connectivity between the Philippines and the United States Midwest.
The Consulate warmly welcomes this new route, which is expected to significantly enhance tourism, trade, and people-to-people exchanges between the Philippines and the Midwest region. It also reflects the growing importance of Chicago as a key hub for travel and engagement with the Philippines.
Set to commence on 09 November 2026, the new route marks a significant milestone as Chicago becomes PAL’s eighth destination in the United States and its territories. The addition of this route underscores PAL’s continued expansion and its position as the Southeast Asian airline with the most extensive network to the United States.
The Manila–Chicago service will operate three (3) times weekly, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Flights will depart Manila in the afternoon and arrive at O’Hare International Airport in the afternoon (local time). The return flights will depart Chicago in the evening and arrive in Manila the following morning. Estimated flight duration is approximately 14 hours and 45 minutes from Manila to Chicago, and 16 hours and 15 minutes from Chicago to Manila.
The route will be serviced by PAL’s Airbus A350 aircraft, offering a full-service travel experience with onboard dining, generous baggage allowance, and enhanced passenger comfort across all cabin classes.
The Consulate is especially pleased for our kababayans in the Midwest, who will now have the convenience of traveling directly between Chicago and the Philippines without the need for layovers. This long-awaited development will make it easier for Filipino Americans to visit their families, reconnect with their roots, and explore the Philippines.
The launch of the Manila–Chicago route is expected to benefit the large and vibrant Filipino community in the Midwest, facilitate tourism and business travel, and strengthen cultural and economic ties between the Philippines and the United States. It also provides convenient access for travelers from the Midwest to key destinations across the Philippines and Southeast Asia via Manila.
To mark the launch, PAL is offering introductory fares for bookings made from 16 April to 31 May 2026, with roundtrip Economy base fares starting at USD 667.
Travelers may book flights through the PAL website, mobile application, hotline, or authorized travel agents.
