The celebration’s theme in the Philippines, “We Make Change Work for Women,” highlights the empowerment of women as active contributors to and claimholders of development. It endeavors to bring together women and girl leaders from various generations towards a collective agenda of empowering all women and girls.

Chicago-based physicians, nurses and community friends have stepped up to help our kababayans affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

PMAC is still appealing for more donations so they can continue with their humanitarian relief work. According to Dr. Floro,

We are currently facing an unprecedented Crisis of the Coronavirus Pandemic. This INVISIBLE enemy  is affecting all of us emotionally and financially.

For us physicians and healthcare workers, the challenge carries a double weight because we have to take care of the well-being of both our patients, our families and ourselves.
With the current events that we are dealing with, I am optimistic that the instinctive  Generosity and Compassion of every citizen will EMERGE. We see people helping other people in need. The young generations are volunteering to do errands for their elderly parents, relatives and neighbors . This Crisis will bring out the best in us because we will all realize our Vulnerability and to Survive, we  have to help each other.

With a lot of prayers and FAITH in God ,we will OVERCOME.
